Jeremy Hunt is now expected to stay in his post at the Department of Health as the Health Secretary. Previous reports in the mainstream media suggested that he would be moved or leaving cabinet.
It appears celebrations began too early.
Many healthcare professionals will be disappointed that Theresa May has decided to keep Jeremy Hunt in his position of Health Secretary especially those in support of the Junior Doctors Contract Dispute and the removal of Student Nurse Bursaries.
The mainstream media including the BBC and the Independent had been previously reporting that Jeremy Hunt had been ousted from his position in the cabinet reshuffle but this information seems to have been incorrect.
Jeremy Hunt has confirmed on Twitter he will remain as the Health Secretary.
'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated...' Thrilled to be back in the best job in Government.
