There is still time to take part in the RCN Thunderclap.

The government have come under heavy criticism from nurses after saying there is a clear trade-off between nursing pay and jobs.

“There is a trade-off between pay and jobs in many public services, and pay restraint is one of the many difficult choices the government has had to make,” said the Department of Health in the autumn statement.

Figures suggest that Nurses pay has dropped by around £3,000 in real-terms due to the increase in national insurance contributions, pensions and NMC registration fees.
