Her smile lit up the darkest of rooms.
One of Eileen’s colleagues at St James’s Hospital in Leeds told NursingNotes that the nursing profession “was in her DNA” and the news of her tragic death has had a significant impact on colleagues.
Another of her colleagues wrote on social media; “she was the most amazing person, friend and nurse. Her smile lit up the darkest of rooms. As a team and a trust, we are all numb, heartbroken and in shock”.
West Yorkshire Police say they are thankful for information passed to them by the public.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Vanessa Rolfe said: “We would like to thank all the members of the public who contacted us with information, and also our colleagues in Police Scotland for their assistance and support with this investigation.”
Missed by friends and colleagues.
A spokesman for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust previously said: “It is with great sadness that we have heard about the sudden and unexpected passing of Eileen Barrott.
“She will be sadly missed by all her friends and colleagues across the trust.
“Eileen worked as a staff nurse across a number of departments since joining the trust in 1996.
“This has been a shock to her colleagues and we’re doing all we can to support them at this difficult time.”
A just giving page has been setup to help support Eileen’s children through this difficult time.
