Lancashire Care NHS Trust Receives Good Rating from CQC

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has received a ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) after a full, comprehensive inspection in September.

The trust, which provides provision for district nursing, offender health, and mental health and community services, had been previously told it “required improvement” in November 2015.



An 80-strong inspection team spent a week in September visiting services across the full range community and mental health services at locations across the county.

The Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust was given the rating following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission in September.

Chief Executive Heather Tierney Moore said she was “proud” of the progress made since its previous inspection.

The trust was told to focus on issues including staff training, safety and risk assessments in mental health.
