NHS Agenda for Change Pay Scales 2018-2019

Agenda for Change (AfC) is the current National Health Service (NHS) grading and pay system for NHS staff, with the exception of doctors, dentists, apprentices and some senior managers.

The following is a guide to Agenda for Change (AfC) pay scales for NHS England from April 2018 to April 2019.

The Agenda for Change pay structure for 2018-2019 has not yet been released. You can view the current Agenda for Change pay scale here.

Currently, the agenda for change pay system covers all staff except doctors, dentists and very senior managers. Each of the nine pay bands has a number of pay points. Staff will normally progress to the next pay point annually until they reach the top of the pay band. Staff who works in or around London will receive a supplement on top of these rates which can be seen below.

However, in November 2017 the Government announced modernisation of the current agenda for change pay system.
